Self-Esteem and Kat Williams

Self help books and magazines are always talking self-esteem and how to feel better about yourself. I feel that they make it far too complicated than it really should be. Katt Williams makes it very simple. To summarize; It’s self-esteem, esteem of yourself. How can I mess up how you feel about you simple chick. Though Katt Williams is far from a role, but a broken clock is right twice a day, he makes an excellent point.

People today, especially people my age, wrap so much of how they feel about themselves into things that are out of their control. Take the Prom for instance. Girls go crazy trying to not only find a great dress, but a dress that no one else is wearing. Why? Because they are afraid that someone else will look better in the dress. If you look good in the dress, then you look good in the dress.

No matter you wear, who you are, what you do, where you are, haters are going to hate. That is their job, to hate, let them do their job (another bit of advice from Katt Williams). There is nothing anyone can do about it so just embrace. If people are hating on you that means that you are doing something worth hating. Not everyone can say that.

As long as you know that you are you, and being true to yourself then forget everything and everyone else. It is self-esteem, how you feel about yourself. How other people feel about you should never dictate how you feel about you. Just keep doing you and everything else will fall into place.
